Ruger security 9 slide stuck.

Dec 19, 2023 · Long story short, if you pull the trigger on a Security 9 Compact with the slide and barrel off, the hammer might go down and stick. This being my first pistol I didn't know, I'd recently taken down a Glock and you had to pull that trigger. The same thing happened to me with a Stoeger shotgun, but neither owners manual mentions this. Hmmm, never had that problem, think I'd be checkin the bore if I did. There's a thread around here somewhere with some interesting pics. The feed ramp on my Sec 9 is totally different than all my other Ruger 9mm. It was seeming to pinch the nose of the Geco bullets which were more blunt than my other 115gr FMJ rounds.I have a ruger lcp9s I removed the clip and tried to eject the round in the chamber however the slide action is locked in the closed position. Evidently, there is definitely something amiss with the guide rod assembly. As I mentioned above, try to manipulate the guiderod assembly with a dental pick or similiar object while "shaking" the pistol. Put the safety in the off-safe position.
