Yes. This subcompact was not optics ready. I had the slide milled by Floyd's Customs Shop. Works and fits really well. I'm not sure if the shield plus is optics ready. Either way, if you want to put an optic on it, you will need to install the small version, which for Holosun, would be the 507k version.
