It only processes other applications like travel, EAD etc. NBC will review your I-485, verify that all documents are attached with the application and prepare your I-485 for a field office (nearest USCIS office from your location). My case was recently transferred to NSC from CSC like everyone else. My 3rd EAD and AP applications are pending at NSC and have not been transferred to this "National Benifit Center" with I-485.
